In fact, I’m going to give you TWO tuna sandwich recipes!

For years, before I began eating a high raw diet, I would have considered tuna to be one of my favorite foods. I ate it frequently. As a result, I figured out some really tasty tuna fish recipes!

Tuna salad sandwich recipes (Version #1):

This is my fiance Josh’s recipe (he’s a professional chef and he loves to eat good food!).

You will need:

1 can of unsalted tuna in water

Juice of 1/2 lemon

3/4 tbsp finely chopped parsley

6 pitted and chopped green or black olives (Josh says the black olives are better)

1 1/2 tbsp mayonnaise (try my homemade mayonnaise recipe!)

2 slices of toasted Ezekiel bread or other whole grain bread, toasted*

*I thought for years I shouldn’t eat bread until I discovered Ezekiel bread:

Sprouted grains are as fresh and unrefined as you can get. This is REAL BREAD!

Ezekiel bread can be found in many grocery stores and all health food stores. It’s kept in the freezer section to prevent spoilage.Frankenfoods with a long shelf life are not foods you want in your body. If you can’t pronounce any of the ingredients in a store-bought loaf of bread, or if it’s got more than 15 ingredients, don’t buy it!

Bonus: Ezekiel bread only has 80 calories per slice. Simply pop it in your toaster and it’ll be ready in minutes!

Directions:

Drain tuna and mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

Optional: Coat each slice of bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise.

Place a large scoop of tuna salad onto each slice of toasted bread. I highly recommend eating it as an open-faced sandwich!

This is my recipe! I relied on it often when I was a poor college student.

Ingredients:

You will need:

1 can unsalted tuna in water

2 large slices of tomato

2 slices of toasted Ezekiel bread or other whole grain bread, toasted*

1 1/2 to 2 tbsp mayonnaise (try my easy homemade mayonnaise recipe!)

If you decide to use a store-bought mayonnaise, for both of these tuna salad sandwich recipes I recommend Canola Mayonnaise by Spectrum Naturals (you can find it in the health food section of most grocery stores):

Look at its ingredients list:

Compare this to the ingredients list for a standard mayonnaise brand like Hellmann’s. You’ll see about 50 ingredients, many of them unpronounceable chemicals. Ick!

Directions:

1) Drain tuna and place in small bowl

2) Add mayo and mix well together

3) Place a large slice of tomato onto each slice of bread.

4) Optional: Coat each slice of bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise

5) Scoop generous amounts of tuna onto each slice of bread.

Try it as an open-faced sandwich!

  • 1 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ cup fat-free greek plain yogurt
  • 1 finely chopped celery rib
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • black paper
  • 2 slices wheat bread
  • and some leafy greens.

Directions :

  1. Firstly, put all the ingredients besides tuna in a bowl and mix them to well-blended.
  2. Secondly, stir it in drained tuna.
  3. Thirdly, take the blend into one slice of bread. Finally, garnish it with some leafy greens and cover it with the second slice of bread.

How to make it :

First, prepare the ingredients :

  • white bread
  • mayonnaise
  • margarine
  • canned tuna
  • cheese sheet
  • tomatoes (rounded cut)
  • onion (thinly sliced)
  • cucumber (cut into pieces)
  • peppers (cut into pieces)
  • lettuce
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Directions :

Second, toast bread in the toaster until you get the lightly browned bread. Third, saute onion in margarine and add canned tuna. Pour a little salt and pepper. Fourth, spread the bread that has been baked with mayonnaise; add tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, tuna, lettuce, cheese sheet into baked bread. Now, it is ready to serve.

Directions :

  1. Firstly, prepare 6 pcs wheat bread, 200 gr canned tuna, 30 g onions, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 boiled egg, 1/2 cup orange juice, 4 tbsp mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
  2. Secondly, squeeze tuna until remaining the flesh only then mix with sliced onions, eggs, orange juice, add salt, pepper, and mayonnaise sauce. Stir all the ingredients.
  3. Prepare the bread slices in a serving dish. Spread the mixture tuna on one side bread and cover it with another piece of bread. Now, this delicious lunch and healthy snack is ready to serve.

  1. First, you need to prepare 1 can chunk tuna, Greek plain yogurt, Dijon mustard, 1 celery, broccoli slaw, fresh spinach, 1 whole wheat pita, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette (optional).
  2. Second, place chunk tuna into a bowl and add 1 tbsp Dijon, mustard and 2 tbsp yogurt. Then, sprinkle 1 tsp balsamic vinaigrette on top.
  3. Third, mix the chopped celery and broccoli slaw. Toast a wheat pita, put the tuna blend inside, add feta cheese on top, and the last one is covering it with handful fresh spinach.
