Let’s start by creating one of the simplest healthy recipes that there is. Let’s start our file of healthy recipes easy with a simple salad. Let’s first fill a bowl with a handful of lettuce. Then to that lettuce add some chopped onions, grated carrots, sliced tomatoes, some chopped chicken and some grated cheese.
It is always easy to add some crunch to your recipes. This is done by sprinkling the top with a few nuts, I prefer sunflower nuts. Not only do the nuts make your healthy recipes for better taste and give it a crunch, they also add a lot of nutrients to your diet.
Then top that salad with about a teaspoon of Balsamic vinegar. Gently toss the salad then enjoy the flavor. Some of the better brands of Balsamic vinegar as so sweet, you can almost drink them straight. That is the perfect way to top many of your healthy recipes for dinner.
Now a quick way to create several different very easy recipes is as follows. Pick a meat. Pretty much any meat will work. Thoroughly cook the meat. For any meat, except fish, slightly brown the meat to increase the flavor.

Put a pan of water on the stove and set the heat on high. When the water starts boiling add your favorite whole wheat pasta. Stir occasionally to keep pasta from clumping together. Start on the next step while keeping an eye on your pasta. Clumped or burnt pasta is not how you want your healthy recipes ideas to begin. When your pasta is cooked the way you like it, then drain the pasta.
While the pasta is cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet. After the butter is melted add 2 tablespoons of flour. Keep the heat on and continue to stir this mixture until the mixture becomes bubbly. I add salt and pepper at this point but that is up to you.
Now continue cooking and slowly add milk, or chicken broth, to this mixture. Add approximately one cup of milk at a time. When you get the proper amount of milk, the mixture will be as thick as a gravy. At first, when you add the liquid to the hot mixture, the mixture will instantly thicken. This happens because the starch in the flour absorbs the liquid.
The mixture will get to a point where when you add more milk, it will thicken more slowly. This is a sign that the flour has almost all the liquids that it can hold.
Now add a package of frozen mixed vegetables to the mixture in the skillet. I prefer peas and carrots. Stir the frozen vegetables into the hot mixture allowing it to heat up. Cook until vegetables are done the way you like them. If the sauce thickens too much you can add more of the liquid you used to make it, or you can just add a little water. If the mixture is too thin, soupy, then turn the heat up and boil out some of the liquids, while constantly stirring. You don’t want to start out your healthy recipes for dinner with a soupy dinner.
