The frozen banana smoothie is easily one of the best drinks that you can have during summer time. Not only is it incredibly refreshing, it is also good for you and will kickstart your day. If your feeling too hot, then you defiantly need one of these smoothies in your system.

Indeed, the frozen banana smoothie is fantastic as your able to use old bananas which otherwise would be thrown out. Why? Because when these old, brown bananas are blended into the smoothie, they taste completely normal! So, you can use the frozen banana smoothie to save old bananas that you would otherwise through out. How To Create A Frozen Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  1. One frozen banana cut into at least four chunks.
  2. One cup of milk
  3. 1/4 of a teaspoon of vanilla
  4. A dash of nutmeg
TOP TIP: Make sure you peel and slice your bananas before freezing. This means that your blender will not have a heart attack when trying to mash the banana up.

Directions:

  1. Place the frozen banana and milk into the blender
  2. Blend them together
  3. Next add the vanilla and nutmeg
  4. Blend them together again

Boost It:

If you would like to boost your smoothie in its nutritional value, then consider adding some of the following ingredients.

  • Half a tablespoon of coconut oil
  • A few hemp or chia seeds

Embellish Your Smoothie:

To make your smoothie look that bit better, try adding some whipped cream onto of it and then grating some fine chocolate powder onto the whipped cream. This will really take your smoothie to the next level, and makes it that bit more refreshing on a hot day.
