- 1 cup of chicken broth
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
- ¼ cup of balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoon of honey for a sweet taste
- 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup of minced onion
- 2 teaspoon of rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dry thyme leaves
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- and finally, 3 tablespoon of cold water.
It is a lot of ingredients indeed, but they are all easy to get.
How to make it :
Prepare a large crock pot to begin the making process. Mix the entire ingredient except the pork tenderloin in the pot. Mix them all well. This is an important part. Make sure all the ingredients are perfectly mixed. If they are not, then you will get an unbalanced taste on your pork tenderloin and you don’t want that
After well mixed, you can put the pork tenderloin and start cooking for 8 hours. This is optional. You can cook as long as how you want the pork to be. If you like it really tender, just cook it a little bit longer. However, if you don’t just cook it for about 7 hours, make sure you cook it in a slow cooker to make the cooking process is evenly distributed all over the pork.
After being cooked and tender, get the pork out of the pot and place it on a serving dish. Tent loosely with aluminum foil and let it cooled for about 7 minutes. While waiting for the pork to be cool, you can start making the sauce. It is pretty simple. Just mix the cornstarch with the cold water until completely dissolved. The purpose of this seasoning process is to make a thick sauce to cover the pork.
Now, pay attention on the remaining seasoning liquid in the pot where the pork is cooked before. Mix that liquid with cornstarch and boil it for about 2 minutes. While waiting the seasoning to thicken, slice the pork. Finally, pour the thickened boiled sauce over the pork and it is ready to serve.
